The Brisbane makerCamp

Come 1, Come all.  Come and see the constructors, destructors, inventors, hackers, makers and all round creatives do their thing.


When: 27 July 2013  10AM to 5PM

Where: 217 MacArthur Ave, Eagle Farm 


What is it?  

a makerCamp is a showcase of inventions, creations, art, carftsmanship and anything that you can make yourself. 

There is no limit to what can be done with the application of a bit of thinking and some hard work.  The makerCamp is an opportunity to showcase some amazing projects happening in your community that you can get involved in. 

Come and see 3D printers, Electric go-carts, Electronics, Woodwork and many other "things" that people have made. 

There will be:

  • Demonstrations of projects
  • Interactive classes and projects you can try for yourself
  • Talks by some of the Inventors in Brisbane. 

What is planned? 

A morning session on 3D printers and an afternoon of all things flying.  The blacksmiths will working all day and the glass blowing will be open to everyone at 'The shed' next door. 

10AM - 11AM Setup and chance to look at the other printers

11AM - 12:30PM Barcamp style discussion on 3D printers, setup, modelling software, materials etc...

12:30PM - 1:30PM Lunch - Barbecue (burgers & sausage sizzle) will be provided for a small donation

1:30PM - 2:00PM All things flying

2:00PM - 3:00PM Barcamp style discussion on Quad-copters, R/C Aircraft, Radio comms, Autonomous flight etc...

3:30PM - 3:45PM Awards

3:45PM - 5PM  Back to the hack.
